Pay: Starting at $16.50 per hour (+ average $3/hour in tips)
About the Role:
Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill is hiring a dependable Line / Prep Cook whose primary responsibility is working the line using kitchen timers and company cooking procedures. This is a hands-on BOH role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
On some shifts, this position will also assist with prep work, dishwashing, and putting away vendor deliveries (including Sysco). We’re looking for someone reliable, organized, and able to follow systems consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Cook and assemble menu items on the line using kitchen timers at all times
- Work assigned hot line stations (proteins, rice, pita, fryers)
- Follow company recipes, portion standards, and cooking procedures
- Assist with prep tasks as scheduled (cutting, portioning, stocking)
- Assist with dishwashing and BOH cleaning as needed
- Put away vendor deliveries (including Sysco) accurately and safely
- Maintain clean, organized, inspection-ready work areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen teammates during service
- Assist with opening and/or closing BOH duties as scheduled
Requirements:
- Prior kitchen or line cook experience required
- Valid Health Card required
- Ability to follow timers, recipes, and procedures consistently
- Strong knife skills and attention to portion accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Availability to work nights and saturdays as needed
