American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Rehab RN for a 13-week community hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience, telemetry interpretation skills, and an active MO or Compact RN license.

Work in the Rehab unit of a community hospital setting
-
Focus on cardiac rehabilitation patients including those with angina, hypertension, and post cardiac, MI, or vascular surgery diagnoses
-
Perform on-unit telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
-
Utilizes Epic EMR
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-
Block scheduling allowed unless staffing gaps require balancing across all staff

Self-scheduling practiced by staff
-
Floating required in rotation with staff according to facility policy and clinical experience, with appropriate orientation provided

Active RN license (MO or Compact) required, must be in-hand prior to start

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Community hospital experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Epic charting experience preferred but not required

Skilled in telemetry reading and interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac arrest response
-
Experienced in blood glucose monitoring, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment, infection prevention, and pain management

Provide comprehensive cardiac rehab nursing care including patient teaching and monitoring for post-surgical and cardiac event patients

Some holiday and weekend coverage expected

Requests for time off should be submitted early, with a preference for no RTO during the first weeks of the assignment
