Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, organized, and inclusive environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, motor, and social skills development
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Collaborate with teachers to assess individual student needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom events
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and assisting with curriculum development
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or early childhood programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a safe and respectful learning environment
- Proficiency in lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education, math, and early childhood curricula like Montessori or Toddler care approaches
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom dynamics and individual student needs
- Technical proficiency with educational tools and classroom technology
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Familiarity with private school environments or school experience preferred
