Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Analyst to support a Department of Defense executive headquarters organization. This position provides senior-level oversight of executive staff actions, workflow management, governance support, and executive correspondence while serving as a trusted advisor to Government leadership and Action Officers.
The Senior Project Analyst leads the National Guard Executive Secretariat operations by managing complex staff actions, coordinating across multiple organizations, resolving workflow issues, overseeing governance processes, and ensuring compliance with established staffing procedures. The successful candidate will work across multiple classified and unclassified networks and task management systems to maintain visibility of executive actions and support timely leadership decisions.
Duties
- Lead Executive Secretariat workflow management and staff action coordination.
- Review, prioritize, and oversee executive taskers across multiple systems and security domains.
- Determine Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPRs), coordination requirements, approval authorities, and suspense timelines.
- Coordinate with senior military and civilian leadership, Action Officers, Workflow Managers, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor workflow performance and resolve complex staffing issues.
- Support governance meetings, executive briefings, and senior leader engagements.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures and workflow processes.
- Mentor Action Officers and provide Executive Secretariat training.
- Prepare executive reports, workflow metrics, and status updates.
- Ensure compliance with Executive Secretariat policies, records management requirements, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience supporting DoD headquarters, Executive Secretariat, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Military Department headquarters, or comparable executive organizations.
- Experience managing executive correspondence, staff actions, and governance activities.
- Experience with Executive Secretariat business processes and workflow management.
- Experience supporting senior military and civilian executives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- TS/SCI eligibility or active TS/SCI.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with ETS, ETMS2, CATMS, DoD Directives Portal, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar workflow systems.
- Military staff experience or prior Executive Officer (XO), Executive Secretariat, or Headquarters staff experience.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
