Responsible for the evaluation, administration, and oversight of evidence-based occupational or physical therapy services provided to individuals with Lymphedema. Use specialized skills to promote goals of prevention of dysfunction and restoration of function to enhance quality of movement and daily living skills for individuals with Lymphedema. Develops and updates appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family. Act in accordance with physician referral guidelines, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. Embody strong customer service skills and communicate in a concise, tactful manner with physicians, co-workers, caregivers, family members, patients, and other healthcare providers. Supervises and guides the Lymphedema Therapy Services Assistant and physical therapist or occupational therapist assistant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university approved by the APTA or a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university approved by the AOTA
- Rehab\APTA - Physical Therapy License OR Rehab\AOTA - Occupational Therapy License
- Clinical Other\LANA - Lymphedema Therapy Certification LANA Certification or eligibility to sit for exam
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
