Job Summary
This Fire Watch Guard position is responsible for ensuring safety and compliance in environments where fire hazards may exist and existing fire safety / suppression systems are down. This individual will monitor designated areas, maintain a vigilant presence, and respond promptly to any potential fire risks. The Fire Watch Guard will work closely with safety teams and emergency services to uphold safety protocols and ensure a secure environment.
Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance of the assigned area to identify potential fire or additional hazards.
- Monitor equipment and activities that may pose a fire risk, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and emergency services in case of an incident.
- Document any incidents or observations accurately and report them to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Fire Watch Academy Level 1 Fire Watch Guard (may obtain after hiring prior to first shift)
- Previous experience in fire watch, firefighting, EMS, security, law enforcement, military service or electrical is preferred.
- Ability to remain vigilant and focused during long periods of monitoring.
- Excellent reliability and observational skills with attention to detail for identifying risks.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
