Part-Time / Per Diem Associate Attorney- Estate Planning
Location: Westwood, New Jersey
Our established and growing law firm in Westwood, New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Attorney to work in the estate planning portion of our practice.
This is a flexible, part-time or per-diem opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients and providing thoughtful and meaningful client work without the demands of a full-time schedule, although it could transition into more full-time opportunities as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives, based on the work product our firm has created.
- Guide clients through the estate planning process from the initial consultation through the execution of documents.
- Conduct and supervise document signing appointments, ensuring proper execution of all estate planning documents.
- Respond to client questions and provide ongoing legal guidance throughout the representation.
- Work collaboratively with the firm's support staff to ensure matters are handled efficiently and clients receive exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and in good standing.
- Prior experience in estate planning is preferred but not required.
- Strong drafting, communication, and client counseling skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, experienced team.
- Organized, dependable, and client-focused.
Schedule
- Flexible part-time or per diem schedule.
- Hours and schedule are flexible and can be tailored to the right candidate.
Compensation
We are happy to discuss an arrangement that works well for both the attorney and the firm depending on the applicant’s preferred work schedule.
