Overview:
The National Cemetery Administration honors veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service to our nation. National cemeteries are national shrines and the standards of maintenance, appearance and operational procedures performed by all at this cemetery should reflect concern and compassion for those who are interned there.
Responsibilities:
Culpepper & Associates Security Services is seeking enthusiastic individuals to fill multiple Unarmed Security Officer positions. Officer's will be responsible for patrolling the Cemetery grounds throughout the assigned shift and enforcement of cemetery rules and regulations. Officer's must display compassion, sensitivity, and good business ethics in all interactions with clients and visitors.

Patrol the Cemetery grounds to provide a security presence and related duties throughout scheduled shift.

Explain and enforce the Cemetery’s rules, procedures and regulations to visitors and advise them of violations in a professional manner, remaining sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of visitors.

Assist with the control of traffic entering and leaving the cemetery.

Serve as first contact for visitors to welcome them, answer questions and direct them to their desired destinations.

Responsible for the opening and or closing of the cemetery grounds and gates or buildings ensuring safe and secure access to visitors or employees.

Participate in responding to emergencies as needed. Maintain familiarity with all emergency procedures. Investigate complaints, accidents and disturbances on the grounds, and writes detailed incident reports and accident investigation reports.

Call the VA or local Police Department in cases of emergency, and provide assistance if needed.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Officer.
Must possess, and maintain, a valid California Guard Card registered with BSIS.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Successful completion of physical, drug/alcohol screening and a comprehensive background investigation – no felony convictions.
- Personal & Uniform Appearance Standards will be maintained at all times.
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with the general public in a professional and effective manner.
- Must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the United States.
