Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Assists the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management and other admissions personnel in the planning, organization, and administration of the undergraduate admissions program at the University. Assists with enrollment management functions as needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports directly to the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions and indirectly to the Associate Dean of Admissions/Director of Undergraduate Admissions; will work on team projects under the leadership of designated team leaders.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May supervise classified, contracted, and/or student employee personnel assigned to the area (at the discretion of the Associate Dean of Admissions/Director of Undergraduate Admissions); serves as a departmental leader with assigned tasks.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the planning and support of transfer recruitment events, selection, and yield activities to meet institutional enrollment goals.

Manages an assigned recruitment territory.

Guides prospective students and applicants through all phases of the enrollment funnel (inquiry to matriculation), including financial aid advisement and post-deposit activities (e.g., "summer melt" mitigation).

Serves as a member of the Admissions Committee; independently reviews applications and makes admissions decisions and merit-based scholarship decisions.

Meets with prospective students and communicates application procedures to students, parents, and community college advisors.

Conducts admissions information sessions (individual and large group formats).

Assists in the preparation of statistical data/reports appropriate for transfer admission.

Assumes responsibility for functional areas and special projects assigned.

Assists in the recruitment and selection of prospective freshmen applicants for Framingham State University, as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted in an office environment or at various recruiting locations. The position requires some evening and weekend work, especially during peak times. In accordance with the University's Staff Telework Guidelines, this position may be eligible for some hybrid work opportunities following a provisional period and a determination of employee suitability.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 2 years of admissions experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative staff, classified personnel and students.

Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills, highly motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, excellent prioritization.

Sensitivity to and ability to work with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of members of community, including those with disabilities.

Demonstrated ability to express oneself effectively in written and oral communication.

Must have the flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

A valid U.S. driver's license, and access to reliable transportation is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree.

Demonstrated experience with, Axiom Elite, Ellucian Banner, Techolutions Slate and programs related to the Unified Digital Campus (e.g., Xtender and Argos)

Knowledgeable of Framingham State University's programs.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a union title of Assistant Director. The starting salary range is $65,000 - $69,000.
