Join our dynamic team as a Residential Waste Route Supervisor and lead the efficient collection of municipal and commercial waste across designated neighborhoods. Responsibilities
Supervise daily residential waste collection routes, ensuring timely and accurate pick-up of garbage, recyclables, and other waste materials.
Coordinate with drivers to plan routes that optimize efficiency while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Monitor driver performance, providing coaching on safe driving techniques, including defensive driving and proper operation of front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, state transportation laws, hazardous materials regulations, and air brake standards during all operations.
Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues early; facilitate maintenance or repairs as needed.
Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety protocol adherence, conducting safety meetings, and addressing hazards promptly.
Support customer service excellence by addressing community concerns professionally and ensuring high-quality waste collection services.
Skills
Strong understanding of solid waste management principles and municipal waste regulations.
Excellent driving skills with a clean record in commercial truck driving; experience with route driving is essential.
Familiarity with traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, state transportation laws.
Exceptional customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents and community stakeholders.
Outdoor work experience in varying weather conditions; ability to work efficiently in physically demanding environments.
Pay: $78,000.00 - $97,500.00 per year
