We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to incidents. Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances and exits to authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to oversee premises and detect suspicious activity
- Perform patrols around the facility to identify potential security breaches or hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate issues
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience in security operations or law enforcement is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and conflict management techniques
- Background in military or law enforcement service is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
