About the Role
As a Production Process Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead for high-precision manufacturing, driving the development of efficient workflows for complex components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and process optimization to ensure that production meets rigorous quality standards for high-stakes industries.
Responsibilities-
Develop comprehensive process plans for both new product introductions and recurring production orders.

Generate and optimize complex CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and 3, 4, and 5-axis milling centers.

Design and procure specialized tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions to maximize machining efficiency.

Oversee the successful execution of first-article inspections to ensure initial production runs meet all specifications.

Provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor to troubleshoot machining processes and resolve production bottlenecks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in project scheduling and the generation of accurate cost estimates.

Maintain and refine inspection documentation to ensure consistent quality control across the production lifecycle.
Qualifications-
Proven experience in CNC programming for lathes and mills, including bar-fed systems.

Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software and DNC systems.

Direct experience machining challenging materials such as stainless steel and aluminum.

Solid understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Knowledge of special processes including NDT, heat treatment, and surface coatings.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
