Position Summary
As the Executive Director, you will provide overall leadership for the community, ensuring exceptional resident care, outstanding customer service, financial stability, and operational excellence. You'll oversee all aspects of community operations, including budgeting, staffing, regulatory compliance, and team development, while creating an environment where residents feel at home and employees are empowered to do their best work.
This position serves as the driving force behind the community's success by building strong relationships with residents, families, team members, healthcare providers, and corporate partners. The Executive Director ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a culture centered on dignity, compassion, and quality.
What You'll Do
- Provide visionary leadership for all community operations.
- Serve as the primary leader and ambassador for residents, families, employees, community partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders while fostering a positive, engaged workplace culture.
- Ensure residents receive exceptional care and services that exceed expectations.
- Drive occupancy and operational success by implementing strategic business and sales initiatives.
- Partner closely with clinical leadership to support quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and cash flow while identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Foster a high-performing organization built on teamwork, accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
- Maintain strong partnerships with corporate leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, licensing, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Oversee hiring, employee development, performance management, and retention strategies.
- Ensure the community remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained through proactive property management and preventative maintenance.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to achieve occupancy goals and maintain strong census growth.
- Drive financial performance through effective expense management, revenue optimization, and achievement of budgeted goals.
- What You'll Bring Licensure
- Current Licensed Administrator in good standing, as required by state regulations, or ability to obtain and maintain required licensure.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range of $75,000 – $110,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications)

Education
- Leadership experience in an Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director or comparable healthcare leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience & Qualifications
- · Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, including experience as an Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, or similar healthcare leadership role.
- · Hospitality leadership experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to senior living and resident rights.
- Proven experience managing budgets, financial performance, and operational goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and other business management software.
- Demonstrated success leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for serving older adults and creating meaningful experiences for residents and their families.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the community for extended periods.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in community-wide activities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
