DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be fully capable of technical reading, writing, and oral communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs all tasks associated with maintenance and installation of electronic security devices
- Makes identification badges for all employees
- Set up audio/visual and sound systems
- Respond to alarm conditions when notified by the Dispatch or through SchoolDude
- Tests smoke and heat sensors, dual technology motion detectors, photoelectric motion detectors, magnetic door contacts, system control panels and digital communications
- Repairs and installs all security devices with the system
- Maintains the data base for the alarm systems and programming new alarm systems and new closed-circuit television systems
- Adheres to school system rules and administrative procedures; Board Policies, and State, and Federal rules and regulations.

- Demonstrates ability to climb ladders and to work in confined spaces above and below ground.
- Must have the ability to stand for extended period of time and be able to bed, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Must exhibit dexterity to operate equipment.
- Must be able to see and read printed material with or without vision aids. S. Must be able to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Must be able to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must have the physical agility to lift at least 50 pounds.
