Director of Nursing Responsibilities include:
- Holding primary responsibility for the clinical operations.
- Directs, plans, and coordinates service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary personnel in rendering resident care.
- Interprets facility policies and regulations to all nursing personnel.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Evaluates nursing services rendered in order to improve quality of resident care and to better utilize staff and their abilities.
- Ensures for the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing with the State of Ohio
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions as necessary
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration
