Responsibilities
- Plan and execute engaging flag football practices that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Lead students during games, providing clear instructions, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety guidelines, including proper use of equipment and supervision of participants.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting respect, cooperation, and good sportsmanship among students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, progress, and any concerns.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during practices and games.
- Maintain equipment inventory, ensure proper setup for practices and games, and report any safety issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience in flag football or other sports is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate middle school students.
- Experience teaching physical education or working with children in a sports or childcare setting.
- CPR certification and general first-aid certification is required.
- Background in sports coaching instruction with familiarity in behavior management strategies.
