Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and activities to ensure safety and proper behavior management
- Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum plans focused on childhood development
- Support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices in accordance with health standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build trust and foster strong relationships
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and learning engagement
- Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns promptly and appropriately
- Assist with classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and social skills among children
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid training (if not already certified we will help you get certified before joining)
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Experience in infant care, toddler care, or preschool teaching enhances your ability to support diverse age groups effectively
