Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy and light mobile equipment to ensure optimal operational performance, this includes both surface and underground mobile equiptment. Your expertise will help keep our mining equipment running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, haul trucks, front end loaders, jumbo drills, telehandlers, gen-sets, air compressors and pumps.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system repairs, suspension adjustments, and air brake systems.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific operational needs.
- Diagnose electrical issues utilizing automotive diagnostics tools and electrical schematics; repair wiring harnesses and electronic components.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment.
- Assist in the assembly of new machinery or equipment components ensuring proper fit and function.
Skills
- Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong mechanical background.
- Extensive knowledge of Caterpillar or OEM machinery systems including hydraulics, powertrains, transmissions, HVAC systems, and tire service.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and sheetmetal work; capable of working with hand tools and power tools efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and heavy equipment operation.
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and performing manual tasks in various environmental conditions.

Pay: $34.24 - $39.82 per hour
