Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product demos when appropriate to enhance their experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Manage cash register operations, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering upselling suggestions, and maintaining a positive attitude
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented according to store standards
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls
- Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in periodic stock counts
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or retail sales is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide friendly, professional customer service in a bilingual environment is a plus
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising techniques to effectively assist customers and promote sales
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience in grocery store or retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse customers
