Bayou Jaq's Seafood Shack is Edmond's home for Southern-style seafood boils, fried catfish, and genuine hospitality. We're part of a growing Oklahoma restaurant group, and we hold ourselves to a simple standard: quality people first, quality food always.
We're looking for a dependable kitchen cook who takes pride in doing things the right way. If you value consistency, teamwork, and a kitchen where your work is noticed, we'd like to meet you.
We serve guests from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week, so shifts wrap at a reasonable hour — a rarity in this industry.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook seafood and other menu items according to company recipes and standards.
- Work multiple stations while maintaining speed, quality, and consistency.
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Complete opening, shift, and closing responsibilities.
- Communicate with your teammates to keep the kitchen running efficiently during busy service.

Kitchen experience is required for this role. Our kitchen cooks everything to order — seafood boils and fried dishes made fresh per ticket — which moves differently than a standard line. If you've worked a real kitchen and know what it means to build a plate under pressure, you'll fit right in.

What This Job Asks of You
This is real kitchen work. You'll be on your feet for full shifts, lifting stock and equipment up to 50 lbs, and working around fryers, steam, and heat during busy service. If you've worked a kitchen before, you know the deal — we just want you walking in with eyes open.
