About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing high-quality metal components, adhering to established procedures and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate possesses practical welding expertise within a manufacturing or industrial context and is comfortable working autonomously on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Execute welding tasks in accordance with production guidelines, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Fabricate parts based on provided samples, templates, fixtures, and blueprints, maintaining dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of manufactured components.
- Maintain accurate records of production times and project specifics to ensure proper tracking.
- Handle raw materials and finished goods with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.
- Uphold a tidy, well-organized, and safe workspace, promoting a productive environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Operate a forklift as required to move materials and products within the facility.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and welding schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Ability to successfully complete a welding assessment, demonstrating competency in various welding techniques.
- Solid understanding of welding setups for production environments.
- Experience with TIG welding techniques; MIG welding experience is also advantageous.
- Certified in forklift operation, demonstrating the ability to safely maneuver materials.
- Demonstrated commitment to upholding high standards of quality and safety in all welding activities.
