Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at our pediatric/special needs daycare and school academy. The Occupational Therapist will work with children and adolescents ranging from ages 3 to 18 years old, providing individualized assessments and treatment plans that foster growth, independence, and participation in daily activities. Sessions may involve working with multiple children at a time, tailoring support to each child’s unique developmental needs. Compensation is $85 - $100 per visit, per child.
The OT will collaborate with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to design engaging, effective interventions that promote independence, build functional skills, and enhance overall quality of life. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, creativity, and a child-centered approach to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for children ages 3–18 with diverse developmental and special needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address motor, sensory, social, and self-care skills.
- Provide direct therapy services during one-on-one and small group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and daily routines.
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Educate and support families in implementing strategies at home to reinforce skill development.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all children.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (OTR/L) and certification to practice occupational therapy.
- Experience working with children and/or individuals with special needs (preferred).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working in a pediatric educational setting.
