Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation tasks including planting, sod laying, and soil preparation using hand tools and power equipment
- Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, trimming, and aeration to keep landscapes pristine and healthy
- Operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment safely and efficiently for site development projects
- Perform landscape maintenance activities like pruning trees and shrubs, tree care, and snow plowing during winter months
- Support hardscape construction including patio installation, walkway building, retaining walls, and other masonry projects
- Conduct routine gardening tasks such as weeding, edging, and mulching
- Use hand tools and power tools skillfully for various landscaping tasks while adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, and power tools is a plus
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and strength
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance practices including tree trimming, gardening techniques, irrigation systems, and snow plowing operations
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills in construction and landscape care
