Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facility management, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior systems function efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; utilize hand tools, electrical testing devices.
- Conduct carpentry, painting, and other facility repairs to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Maintain facilities equipment including boilers, pumps, motors, lighting fixtures, and other critical infrastructure.
- Supervise or assist with outside vendors on complex projects involving electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC system upgrades or replacements, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety regulations and quality standards; document procedures accurately for future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance across hospitality or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of schematics.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance & repair, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and plumbing system troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with maintenance painting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of building interior maintenance standards along with facilities equipment upkeep in a hospitality setting or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and safety protocols.
