Position Title: Career Coach

Position Summary:
The Part Time Career Coach will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of all Youth employment department services programs within assigned borough/PAL Center. Must be willing to travel throughout the five boroughs on trips with participants. Must have a flexible schedule and be available to attend local and out of state trips as well as some weekend events. The Career Coach must be well organized and must be proficient in reading, writing and critical thinking skills. Expected to maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for participants and visitors at all times.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement overall program within a borough & PAL Center. Deliver educational, leadership, job readiness activities and special events for adolescents.
2. Ongoing recruitment, orientation and registration of participants, as needed.
3. Provide direct service including outreach, instruction and guidance.
4. Evaluate participant performance and achievement utilizing Youth Employment Department. tools
5. Maintain clear and organized records, including weekly schedules, daily attendance, student folders and case management reports.
6. Collect all necessary data for compliance with funding sources and internal systems.
7. Explore and make recommendations about opportunities to expand and improve programming.
8. Attend professional development and program improvement training sessions.
9. Maintain consistent communication with all relevant stakeholders.
10. Remain current regarding the best practices in the fields of workforce development
Education & Experience:
- Associate Degree Required
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
Skills & Knowledge/General Comments
- Demonstrated ability to run adolescent programs in compliance with funding sources and contracts;
- Previous Workshop Facilitation experience (Lesson planning a plus)
- Research, data entry and basic computer skills required. (Social Media and Marketing skills a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and roll out programs and initiatives;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with excellent follow through;
- Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Interest in providing quality educational and enrichment experiences to adolescents
Salary: $25.00 per hour

Position Summary:
The Student Career Advisor provides individualized guidance and support to middle and high school–aged youth, helping participants identify career goals, develop professional skills, and navigate education and workforce pathways. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can mentor, motivate, and prepare students for future academic and career success.
