The Cafe
Our cafe brings a taste of South Florida culture to Tennessee, with a strong nod to Cuban coffee traditions and a menu that blends international flavors. Think: bold coladas, smooth café con leche, and sweet cortaditos—alongside smoothies, Cuban sandwiches, pastries, and creative lunch options inspired by global comfort food.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Barista/Cook who can serve high-quality drinks and help create a welcoming experience for every customer. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both crafting coffee, making delicious sandwiches, and connecting with people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso drinks, smoothies, teas, and other beverages
- Prepare simple sandwiches and other small dishes
- Take orders, process payments, and manage the POS system
- Share product knowledge and make menu suggestions when needed
- Keep the cafe and kitchen areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Assist with light food prep or serving baked items
- Create a friendly, respectful environment for guests and team members
- Help maintain cafe standards and follow food safety procedures

Requirements:
- Experience in a cafe, coffee shop, or bookstore cafe
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to multitask while staying calm under pressure
- Required: Available during mornings, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed
- Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and sanitation procedures
