Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs accurately and efficiently
- Assess patients’ oral health status and document findings appropriately in patient records
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and overall oral hygiene practices
- Provide preventive care advice tailored to individual patient needs
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with professionalism and precision
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
- Foster a positive patient experience by communicating clearly, empathetically, and professionally
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards
- Proven experience in performing dental cleanings and radiography procedures
- Strong knowledge of oral health best practices, infection control standards, and dental software systems
- Excellent communication skills to educate and motivate patients effectively
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately
- A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth
