This full-time, year-round role comes with exceptional perks, is benefit eligible, and is anticipated to start within a wage range of $75,000 to $85,000 (depending upon experience). Apply today and help shape the financial future of one of Maine’s premier four-season resorts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports forecasting business activity and financial position across income, expenses, earnings, and cash flow.

Provide leadership with timely, accurate reviews of financial status and progress across resort programs.

Direct daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting compliance, developing controls and procedures along the way.

Review cash disbursements, resolving discrepancies and ensuring adherence to established procedures.

Coordinate audits of company accounts.

Develop and monitor operating budgets — setting seasonal targets and partnering with teams to meet them.

Lead and support direct reports, including seasonal team members, through training and coaching.

Step in for the Controller when needed, and take on other duties as assigned by the Controller and Resort GM.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required); MBA or CPA preferred.

3–5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Experience with operational budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop accounting staff.

Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office.

A self-starter mindset — comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience in ERP conversion and implementation is a plus but not required.
