ABOUT NEW CREATIONS
New Creations has spent over 30 years perfecting the science of invisible surface repair across Canada and the northern United States — and now we're launching in Los Angeles. We restore damaged surfaces on-site, the same day, without replacement: hardwood floors, leather seats, granite counters, tile, vinyl, carpet, painted cabinetry, and 100+ other surface types.
We work with property managers, luxury auto dealerships, hotels, restoration companies, real estate agents, furniture retailers, moving companies, and insurance carriers across the South Bay.
You won't be walking into a mature operation. You'll be the first technician on the ground in one of the most exciting markets in the country with the opportunity to shape what this business becomes over the years ahead.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role has two modes:
Mode 1 — On-site repair day: You arrive at client sites in the company truck, assess the damage, select the right compounds, and execute the repair. You work independently, trusted to deliver a result the client will be proud of. The entire New Creations North American technician network is behind you whenever you hit something new.
Mode 2 — Building the business: As we ramp up in the South Bay, some days will have schedule gaps. Those are prospecting days — visiting property managers, auto dealers, hotel maintenance directors, and restoration companies.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Perform precision color-matched, grain-matched surface repairs across all material types
- Drive independently to client sites across the South Bay in the company truck
- Document jobs with before/after photos/videos and use the company's job management app
- Canvass and build B2B relationships between scheduled repair jobs
- Communicate repair assessments clearly and professionally to clients on-site
- Keep the company truck and toolkit organized, clean, and properly stocked
- Collaborate with the North American technician network on complex repairs
THE KINDS OF WORK YOU'LL BE DOING
- Hotels: Guest damages a headboard, a cart gouges an elevator panel, a floor has a burn mark. Same-day repair before the next check-in.
- Auto Dealerships: A Ferrari CPO vehicle has leather wear and trim damage. Restore both to showroom standard in one visit.
- Property Management: Tenant moves out leaving hardwood heel marks, a chipped stone counter, and cabinet paint damage. One morning, all three surfaces matched.
- Luxury Real Estate: A $6M listing needs to be camera-ready. Wide-plank floor scratch and quartz chip — gone before the photographer arrives.
- Furniture Retail: A leather sofa arrives damaged from delivery. You repair it in-home instead of a costly return.
- Moving Companies: A dining table arrives gouged. You're called same day, match the wood, and the client signs off before the driver leaves.
- Restoration Companies: Water-damage rebuild complete, but cabinetry and tile grout need cosmetic finish. You handle the handover.
- Insurance & Warranty: Pre-approved claim for a stained leather sectional. You go in, repair it, document it, done. No price negotiation.
SURFACES YOU'LL WORK WITH
Core surfaces (where most daily work lives): Hardwood & Engineered Wood, Leather & Vinyl, Granite & Stone, Tiles & Grout, Laminate Flooring
Additional surfaces covered in training: Carpet, Linoleum, Vinyl Siding, Countertops, Tubs & Sinks, Fabric & Upholstery, Painted Surfaces & Lacquer, Plastic & Composite, Cabinetry & Millwork, Exterior Surfaces, Metal & Fixtures
No prior experience with all of these required. That's what training is for.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
No prior surface repair experience needed — we teach that. What we can't teach:
- You are a good handyman, able to figure out how to improve any situation
- You find real satisfaction in making something broken look new again
- You're comfortable working alone and making judgment calls without supervision
- You take quality personally — "close enough" is not good enough for you
- You can confidently introduce yourself to a property manager or hotel director
- You're reliable — clients count on you to show up on time and prepared
- You want to grow with this business over many years, not just months
- You hold a clean California driver's license and are comfortable driving a van in the South Bay
Bonus (not required): Background in woodworking, automotive leather or furniture repair gives you a head start.
