Job Summary
Quapaw Baths & Spa is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and guest-focused individual to join our Water Department team. This position is responsible for maintaining our thermal pool and private bath areas, assisting guests, enforcing facility rules, and ensuring all areas remain clean, safe, stocked, and ready for use.
This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to provide excellent customer service in a busy spa environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist guests in the thermal pool and private bath areas
- Prepare, clean, sanitize, and reset private bath rooms between guests
- Maintain cleanliness of pools, locker rooms, hallways, showers, and other Water Department areas
- Perform regular locker room checks and cleaning throughout the day
- Keep towels, supplies, water stations, salts, and other guest amenities stocked
- Empty trash and maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Monitor pool areas and enforce facility rules and age restrictions
- Remain attentive to guest safety and report concerns to management immediately
- Work cooperatively with other Water Department employees to ensure proper coverage
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Complete assigned cleaning and departmental checklists
- Communicate supply needs, maintenance concerns, guest issues, and other problems to management promptly
- Follow management direction and established department procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual with strong attendance
- Must be comfortable working in a warm and humid environment
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to bend, lift, clean, and perform physically active duties throughout the shift
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Friendly and professional when interacting with guests
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions, policies, and safety procedures
- Must be comfortable enforcing facility rules with guests when necessary
- Previous hospitality, spa, pool, housekeeping, or customer service experience is helpful but not required
Scheduling Requirements
Weekend and holiday availability is required for this position.
Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Applicants who are unable to work weekends should not apply.
