SUPERVISOR: Associate Dean of Health
BASIC FUNCTION: Part Time. This position includes, but is not limited to, shared responsibility for teaching and clinical development and supervision in both didactic and clinical settings, together with continued curriculum and program updates and development. Additional shared responsibilities will include program budgets, effective utilization of advisory committees, equipment utilization and updates, maintaining clinical education and radiation monitoring records, and other responsibilities as appropriate to the Health programs at the College.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required – BSN with Annual Progress towards Masters Degree in Nursing.
Preferred – Master’s degree in Nursing.
Three years of recent clinical experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish languages.
Copies of all academic transcripts are required. Unofficial copies are acceptable at the time of application. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, a complete set of original transcripts will be required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct effective instruction in all assigned areas, using approved course outlines. This includes didactic, lab, and clinical settings.
2. Develop and maintain current course syllabi/outlines for assigned courses.
3. Notify the Program Director, Academic Dean, CAO, designee, or individual in charge as early as possible of inability to meet a class.
4. Measure and evaluate student progress and maintain accurate grade computations. Submit grade reports to Student Services according to designated timelines.
5. Attend all faculty and division meetings and serve on college committees as appropriate.
6. Assist in the budgeting process by identifying instructional materials and equipment.
7. Counsel, advise, and/or refer students as appropriate.
8. Assist in promotion and recruitment of the instructor’s respective program(s).
9. Submit requisitions for needed supplies to immediate supervisor.
10. Serve as a resource person for students and graduates regarding job opportunities.
11. Enforce all Northwest Iowa Community College student policies.
12. Participate in professional development activities.
13. Provide students written course expectations, including course objectives, attendance policy, methods of evaluation, and grading practices.
15. Maintain clinical education and radiation monitoring records, as needed.
16. Assist in program administration needs.
17. Other duties as assigned.
WAGE/SALARY RANGE: depends on education and experience
