Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves efficiently
- Process incoming shipments, stock inventory, and ensure products are readily available on the sales floor
- Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, following proper phone etiquette
- Support team members by supervising sales floor activities when needed and ensuring a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling with attention to accuracy in retail math calculations
- Previous supervising experience or leadership skills to guide team members effectively
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about features and benefits
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base more effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, team members, and management
- Strong merchandising, stocking, and retail sales skills to optimize product presentation and availability
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus for understanding inventory management in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash register operations, sales calculations, and inventory counts
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor
