Duties
- Assist with menu planning to develop appealing and balanced meal options tailored to dietary needs
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices in line with food safety standards
- Support dietary department operations by helping with meal assembly, portioning, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and catering support for special events or daily meals
- Demonstrate strong knife skills and food handling techniques to ensure quality and efficiency during meal preparation
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary services, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience working in fine dining or catering environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with serving procedures and food handling regulations
- Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation is essential
