About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Plumbing & HVAC Quality Control Auditor to ensure our field teams consistently deliver exceptional workmanship, accurate documentation, and outstanding customer experiences. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys coaching, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping operations achieve excellence.
Whether working remotely by reviewing digital documentation and recorded calls or locally by performing field inspections, you'll play a critical role in maintaining our quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality audits of completed plumbing and HVAC service, repair, and installation jobs.
- Review technician photos, invoices, estimates, notes, and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify compliance with company standards, local codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements.
- Evaluate customer interactions to ensure professionalism and exceptional service.
- Identify workmanship issues, documentation deficiencies, and missed revenue opportunities.
- Score completed jobs using established quality metrics.
- Provide constructive coaching and feedback to technicians and managers.
- Track quality trends and prepare reports for leadership.
- Assist in developing training materials and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch, Service Managers, and Training departments to improve performance.
QualificationsRequired
- 5+ years of experience in Plumbing, HVAC, or both
- Strong understanding of residential service and installation practices
- Ability to interpret photos, invoices, estimates, and technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Comfortable using CRM software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Preferred
- Experience as a Service Manager, Field Supervisor, QA/QC Inspector, Trainer, or Technical Support Specialist
- Knowledge of ServiceTitan or similar field service software
- Familiarity with plumbing and HVAC codes
- NATE, EPA, Journeyman, or Master licensing/certifications
