Overview
Part time position. Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping Clerk and become a vital part of our warehouse operations by moving packages nationally and internationally! MUST HAVE strong shipping experience in originating shipments, correctly packing, dealing with international shipments, import/export as well as HAZMAT shipments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting order fulfillment, and using the company inventory system. Your proactive approach will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while keeping operations running smoothly. The job is part-time.
Duties
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments with precision including HAZMAT, ensuring all orders are complete and accurate.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks
- Use our inventory management system on a Windows PC to track inventory levels, process orders, and update shipment statuses in real-time.
- Pick and pack orders efficiently using order pickers and order fulfillment techniques to meet targets.
- Conduct stock stocking activities to maintain organized storage areas and facilitate quick order picking.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using basic math skills and MRPs (Material Requirements Planning) to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation to support warehouse distribution accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures.
- IMPORT AND EXPORT experience requires knowledge of US custom procedures and terminology
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, electronic weigh-scales and a PC are essential
- Experience with inventory management systems (SOS) or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of order picking & packing processes within e-commerce or distribution environments.
- Basic math skills for verifying quantities, calculating weights, and managing inventory data.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures for trucks using appropriate equipment.
