Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Spring Hill, TN
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of skilled maintenance professionals supporting a high-volume automotive manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for supervising mechanics and electricians within a body shop environment, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining safe and efficient production operations.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong maintenance background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance mechanics and electricians supporting automotive body shop operations.
- Drive safe work practices while maintaining compliance with quality and production standards.
- Coordinate daily startup meetings and communicate priorities to maintenance personnel.
- Provide hands-on support to production teams by responding to equipment issues and minimizing downtime.
- Oversee maintenance activities related to welding equipment, production systems, and automated manufacturing processes.
- Manage employee performance, scheduling, payroll, safety initiatives, and workforce development.
- Coordinate spare parts procurement and inventory needs to support uninterrupted operations.
- Partner closely with production, engineering, and fellow supervisors to improve equipment performance and throughput.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
- Present regular updates on departmental performance, improvement activities, and business objectives.
Qualifications
Required
-
Minimum of 8 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous people leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting production equipment and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to build strong relationships across multiple departments and leadership levels.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including any shift, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.
Preferred

Associate's degree or higher.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of automotive body shop operations and welding processes.
- Understanding of quality requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with automated equipment and robotics.
- Familiarity with Fanuc robots.
