Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Meat Cutter with Retail Sales experience to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to safety standards and customer requests
- Package meat products efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and presentation for retail display
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection and answering questions about cuts and preparation methods
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed accurately to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Support food production and preparation tasks in the store’s kitchen or food prep areas as needed
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating products, and placing orders when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in meat cutting, food production, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meat trimming, slicing, and portioning techniques
- Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to engage shoppers effectively
- Experience in retail sales environments preferred, with an understanding of product presentation and merchandising
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates knowledge of food preparation processes is highly desirable
