QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN PLANT ASSISTANT POSITION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Candidate must be able to perform under conditions that are unique to the agri-business environment. At times, 10+ work hour days and 6 days a week during the peak application season. Primarily responsible in preparing chemical orders, repacking material, and organizing the loads that are picked up by hauling agents. Must be able to operate heavy machinery (ex. fork lift, skid loader, hand trucks). During non-peak times the candidate will be assigned tasks around the plant and assist in daily maintenance, loading/unloading operations and maintain the cleanliness of their work area.
CDL driver license is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good electro/mechanical skills; welding a plus
Computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
Able to work long hours as needed particularly through peak season
Class B CDL license (preferred, but not essential)
Safe driving history
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Basic math
Farm background preferred
