Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, motor grader, and other construction equipment with precision and safety awareness.
- Manage and operate specialized vehicles including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery as needed on-site.
- Assist in site preparation activities like grading, excavation, material transport, and debris removal to facilitate smooth construction workflows.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment usage efficiently across different phases of construction projects.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance schedules, and site activity reports.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and similar equipment in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction equipment for troubleshooting minor issues.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks or front loader trucks.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices.
- Prior experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is preferred.
- Construction site experience demonstrating ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
