Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers accurately using POS systems, handle transactions efficiently, and provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Stock shelves, organize products, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed according to merchandising standards
- Use RF scanners to track inventory levels and update stock records in real-time
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, storage areas, and backroom to promote safety and efficiency
- Support shipping & receiving activities by loading/unloading shipments, verifying contents, and ensuring proper storage of products including produce and grocery items
- Provide knowledgeable assistance about retail store products and general merchandise to enhance customer satisfaction
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling tasks involving heavy or bulky items
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate stocking schedules and customer service needs
Experience
- Previous retail store experience or grocery store familiarity is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all new team members
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, and shipping & receiving procedures is a plus
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and inventory control tasks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
