- Shift: 12‑hour Nights (19:00–07:30), 36 hours/week
- Weekends: Rotating weekends

- Pay Range: $63–$67 per hour
Job Description
The ER Nurse will provide rapid, accurate, and compassionate emergency care to patients presenting with trauma, cardiac, neurological, and complex medical needs. This role requires strong clinical judgment, quick prioritization, and the ability to remain calm and effective in high‑stress situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage incoming patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per provider orders
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Assist with emergency procedures including trauma care and resuscitation
- Utilize critical thinking to make fast, accurate clinical decisions
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection‑control standards
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during crises
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Strong competencies in:
- Trauma care
- Stroke response
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Critical care drips
- Chest tube management
- NGT placement
- Blood product administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong critical‑thinking and rapid decision‑making skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high‑stress environments
- Physical stamina for long, demanding shifts
Required Credentials
- Active Wisconsin RN license
- ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC or TNS
- CPI or MOAB
