Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in physical education or related fields. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your expertise will help foster a love for swimming while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Pay $25.00-35.00 Per 30 Minute Lesson
Duties
- Teach swimming lessons to individuals and groups of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of each student, focusing on technique, safety, and confidence in the water.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Conduct water safety education sessions to promote awareness among students.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching physical education or swim instruction is preferred.
Background in sports coaching or related activities such as Judo, Martial Arts, Karate, Cheerleading, or Lifeguarding is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to engage students positively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Proof of Lifeguard certification is required.
- A passion for working with individuals of all ages and skill levels in a supportive environment.
- Must have at least one summer of experience.
- Must have reliable transportation to clients pools.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
