Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector to join our hotel team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest experience of our property.
The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector is responsible for inspecting guest rooms, assisting with daily housekeeping operations, supporting room attendants, and ensuring all areas of the hotel meet cleanliness and brand standards. This is a hands-on position, and cleaning guest rooms, assisting with laundry, and maintaining public areas may also be part of the job when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards
- Assist in supervising and supporting the housekeeping team
- Help assign rooms and daily tasks to housekeeping staff
- Communicate room status, maintenance issues, and guest concerns to the appropriate departments
- Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Assist with cleaning guest rooms when business needs require
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens
- Help maintain cleanliness of public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other guest spaces
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items
- Help train new housekeeping team members on cleaning standards and procedures
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with guests and team members
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hotel policies
- Lead by example and support the team wherever needed
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or room inspection experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
