Salary: Pay: $26.00 - $33.80 / hour Overview:
Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator
Elderwood at Lockport | Lockport, NY
Full-time | Onsite
At Elderwood at Lockport, hiring is directly connected to resident care. We are seeking an organized, responsive Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator who understands that filling open positions promptly helps our teams provide residents with the care and support they deserve.
This is not a remote recruiting position or a traditional corporate talent acquisition role. You will work onsite, five days a week, as part of the daily life of a long-term care facility. You will meet candidates, coordinate interviews, welcome new employees, manage onboarding requirements, and work closely with facility leadership to keep hiring moving.
You will have ownership - but you will not be working alone. The Recruitment Coordinator is supported by a dedicated Talent Acquisition Strategist and partners closely with facility leadership and the Human Resources team. While you are responsible for managing candidates and maintaining momentum at the facility level, you will have a collaborative recruiting partner available for strategy, support, and problem-solving.
A long-term care facility is an active healthcare environment. Priorities can change quickly, overhead announcements and emergency codes are part of facility operations, and employees support residents and families through meaningful - and sometimes difficult - moments.
The right person will be comfortable and composed in this setting. You do not need to be a healthcare recruiter, but you should understand that your work carries a real sense of urgency. Open positions affect employees, residents, families, and the facility’s ability to provide consistent care.
You may be a strong fit if you:
Enjoy being onsite and building relationships face to face
Stay organized while managing multiple candidates and deadlines
Follow through without needing frequent reminders
Communicate warmly, professionally, and directly
Work with urgency while maintaining accuracy
Remain calm and adaptable when priorities change
Ask for support when needed and collaborate well with others
Find purpose in supporting the people who care for residents
As the onsite Recruitment Coordinator, you will be the person closest to the facility’s candidates, hiring managers, and new employees. You will be responsible for keeping candidates engaged and moving through each step of the process.
You will also partner with a Talent Acquisition Strategist who can provide:
Recruitment strategy and guidance
Support with sourcing approaches and hard-to-fill positions
Collaboration on recruitment marketing and hiring events
Assistance identifying barriers within the candidate pipeline
A consistent resource for questions, problem-solving, and shared priorities
The goal is clear ownership with strong partnership: you will drive the onsite candidate experience and onboarding process, with support behind you.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position is not measured only by the number of applications received. It means candidates receive timely communication, hiring managers know where their candidates stand, new employees arrive prepared, required documentation is complete, and open positions continue moving toward a successful hire. You will be trusted to take ownership of candidate management and onboarding, but you will be part of a team that shares the same goal: bringing the right people into Elderwood at Lockport so our residents receive the care they deserve.
If you are an organized, hands-on coordinator who takes ownership, follows through, collaborates well, and wants your work to make a visible difference in a resident-centered healthcare setting, we invite you to apply.
