As the Housekeeping Inspector / Supervisor, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, inspect guest rooms and public areas, coach team members, and ensure every room meets Choice Hotels brand standards before it is released for guest occupancy.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate housekeeping staff to achieve high performance and exceptional quality standards.
- Conduct daily staff meetings and communicate room priorities, occupancy needs, and special guest requests.
- Create daily room assignments and ensure efficient productivity throughout each shift.
- Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching, support, and recognition.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Room Inspections & Quality Assurance
- Perform detailed inspections of guest rooms to ensure they meet Choice Hotels brand standards and hotel quality expectations.
- Verify rooms are properly cleaned, sanitized, stocked, and guest-ready before releasing them to the Front Desk.
- Inspect public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry facilities, and employee work areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
- Identify maintenance issues and communicate repair needs promptly to the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure all guest amenities, linens, and supplies are properly replenished.
Daily Operations
- Coordinate closely with the Front Desk to prioritize early arrivals, VIP guests, stayovers, and room availability.
- Monitor housekeeping productivity and ensure daily cleaning assignments are completed on schedule.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects, preventive maintenance initiatives, and inventory control.
- Maintain housekeeping closets, linen rooms, storage areas, and cleaning equipment in an organized and safe condition.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hotel housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or inspector role preferred.
- Previous hotel housekeeping inspection experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Choice Hotels brands is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 40 pounds, and work throughout the hotel during scheduled shifts.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as business needs require.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Choice Hotels brand standards, company policies, OSHA regulations, and hotel safety procedures.
- Train staff on proper cleaning methods, chemical handling, equipment usage, and infection prevention practices.
- Promote a safe, clean, and respectful work environment for employees and guests.
