The Custom Closet Installation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from production completion through final installation and customer sign-off. This role coordinates installers, clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
Project Coordination
· Manage installation schedules for all custom closet and storage system projects.
· Review project drawings, specifications, and work orders prior to installation.
· Verify site readiness and identify potential installation challenges before deployment.
· Coordinate project timelines with design, engineering, production, and field installation teams.
· Schedule and manage subcontractors when required.
Client Communication
· Serve as the primary point of contact during the installation phase.
· Provide proactive updates regarding scheduling, project status, delays, and completion.
· Manage client expectations and resolve concerns professionally.
· Conduct final walkthroughs with clients.
· Ensure punch-list items are completed promptly.
Installation Management
· Assign crews based on project complexity and installer skill sets.
· Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress and quality.
· Ensure installations comply with company standards and design specifications.
· Resolve field issues including site conditions, product modifications, and change orders.
· Approve completion and sign-off documentation.
Quality Control
· Verify installed products meet design intent and company quality standards.
· Inspect completed projects for workmanship and functionality.
· Manage warranty and service requests.
· Identify recurring installation issues and implement corrective actions.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
· Monitor project budgets and labor hours.
· Review installation labor costs against estimates.
· Manage change orders and communicate cost impacts.
· Ensure accurate project documentation and closeout.
· Track project profitability metrics.
Team Leadership
· Support and mentor installation crews.
· Conduct installer performance evaluations.
· Coordinate safety training and compliance.
· Promote a positive, solution-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of project management experience in custom closets, cabinetry, millwork, remodeling, or residential construction.
· Strong understanding of installation methods, jobsite sequencing, and construction practices.
· Ability to read construction drawings and shop drawings.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
· Valid driver's license.
· Pay DOE.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
