Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator Commercial/Project Manager to lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of commercial construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing project timelines from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software such as HeavyBid, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to negotiate contracts that align with project goals and budget constraints.
- Manage all aspects of project management including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee construction site activities to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals by analyzing drawings, specifications, and market conditions for competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to identify potential overruns early and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to secure materials and services at optimal prices while maintaining quality standards.
- Review and interpret construction contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to minimize risks and maximize profitability.
- Lead negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to establish favorable terms that support project success.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy commercial construction, water, sewer, civil estimating, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques, including detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using HeavyBid or similar software.
- Hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction management practices on active job sites.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
- Procore experience preferred.
- Familiarity with contract administration, risk management, and cost control strategies in construction projects.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective communication abilities across diverse teams.
Pay: $58,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
