Position: Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Hybrid Role

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our busy medical practice. This role is responsible for supporting both the front office and back office to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Mandarin, enjoys working with patients, and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with clinical duties. Current Phlebotomy Certification is required. Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Front Office
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Verify insurance information and collect required documentation.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments.
- Process patient forms and other administrative tasks.
Back Office
- Room patients and prepare them for examination.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
- Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and safely.
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within scope of practice, as applicable.
- Maintain infection control standards and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (Required)
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (Required)
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Excellent venipuncture and patient care skills.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical office.
