Why Join Contra Costa Health?The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is offering an excellent career opportunity for one (1) qualified individual interested in the position of Environmental Services Supervisor assigned to the Environmental Services Unit located in Martinez, CA.The Environmental Services Supervisor will supervise custodial staff and support the service needs of the Medical, Surgical, Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care, Emergency, Behavioral Health, Diagnostic Imagining, Critical Care, Pharmacy, and patient rooms in addition to other ancillary areas. They will also advise the Unit Manager or Director of daily activities and long-term planning needs, prepare daily work schedules to accommodate special work requests, monitor and counsel employee performance, and prepare written performance evaluations. SELECTION PROCESSApplication Filing and Evaluation: Applicants will be required to complete a supplemental questionnaire at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated to determine which candidates will move forward in the next phase of the recruitment process.Online Multiple-Choice Exam: Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in a multiple-choice assessment. The assessment is designed to measure candidates' competencies as they relate to the job. These may include but are not limited to: Leadership, Delegating, Decision Making, Driving Results. The assessment will be administered remotely using a computer. You will need access to a reliable internet connection to take the assessment. It is not recommended to take the assessment using a cell phone. If you apply for another recruitment that uses this exam and the test is scheduled within six (6) months of the date you took the exam, you will not have the option to re-take it. (Weighted 50%) Virtual Oral Exam: The online video assessment will measure candidates' competencies as they relate to the job and candidates must achieve an average passing score of 70% or higher on each of the competencies, as well as an overall passing score of 70% or higher. These competencies may include but are not limited to: Displaying Ownership and Accountability, Safety Focus, Oral Communication.
