Vertex Wound Specialists is a mobile wound care nursing corporation bringing expert, in-home wound care to patients across Southern California. We partner with home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities to deliver advanced wound management directly where patients live.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team as a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner — no prior wound care experience required. New grads are welcome to apply!
We provide full, hands-on training through our comprehensive clinician onboarding program, covering:
- Wound assessment and staging
- Debridement techniques
- Dressing selection and advanced wound products
- Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
- UltraMIST ultrasonic debridement protocol
- Clinical charting and documentation (PixaMed)
- Vertex-specific field workflows and supply management
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-home wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Perform wound care procedures including debridement and advanced dressing application
- Collaborate with referring physicians, home health agencies, and care teams
- Document findings and treatment plans accurately and timely
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a mobile/field setting
What We're Looking For
- Active NP license (or license-eligible) in California
- FNP, AGNP, or related certification
- New grads encouraged to apply — we'll train you!
- Reliable transportation for field visits across the LA area
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile care setting

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
